How to Install Solar Control Superior

Solar Control Superior is a high-quality window film designed to block ultraviolet light while not disturbing the signals required by GPS, cellular or satellite devices used in a vehicle. In addition to rejecting UV rays, Solar Control Superior blocks some visible light, making the car's cabin more comfortable for passengers and the driver. 1.  Prepare the water required for the installation process. Ensure a source of purified or filtered water is available, as chemicals in the water can impact the adhesiveness of the film and make installation more difficult.
   
2.  Clean all of the windows using a solution of one part rubbing alcohol for every three parts of water. Use 400 grit sanding paper or a razor blade to gently remove the "dot matrix" pattern often found on vehicle windows, as this pattern can prevent proper adhesion of the film. Never apply the razor or sandpaper directly to the glass, doing this will damage the glass.
   
3.  Mix soap and water for use as an application solution. Ensure the soap and water mixture to be used in applying the film to the vehicle's windows is always the identical, as too much soap can impact the adhesiveness of the film. It is recommended a mild soap like baby shampoo be used in a fixed ratio of soap to water throughout the process.
   
4. Place the Solar Control Superior film on the windows with enough solution so the film can be positioned. Do not use so much solution it causes the film to slide down the window. Experiment to find the proper amount of solution, as too much can lead to extended drying times and mist in the film.
   
5. Start at the center top of the film with the squeegee and push all of the solution to the corners of the window using steady strokes with solid firm pressure. The film can be straightened by lightly pulling on the corners before going over it again with the squeegee.

A Tip for New Window Film Installers

If you are new to window tint installation, here’s a tip to help you do the perfect job. Use baby shampoo. Get a spray bottle with the trigger. Put 5-10 drops of baby shampoo in a one quart spray trigger bottle. Since you are new, beginners usually want more shampoo than experience ones.  The amount of baby shampoo depends on how much lubricant you want/need. The more shampoo, the more slippery it is. If you used too much shampoo it can cause the film to slide off the window. Also if used in cold environments, it takes longer to dry and can slide off.  Amount of shampoo depends on your water’s ph balance and your experience. Using baby shampoo helps you not only clean off dirt and debris but also helps you positioned  the tinted film on the glass properly and easily.

How to tint a window?

If you want to tint only one car then you can take simple tools and follow simple procedure.

Buy following window tint tools from any of the tint suppliers specified in a right corner:

1.       Window tint film

2.       A  spray bottle with soapy solution

3.       A squeeze

4.       An Olfa knife

Are you ready? Now you can start tinting procedure.

• First cut the window tint shape as you want.
• Wash the window with soap and water mixture.
• Clean the residue from your window using razor.
• Use squeeze to remove all residue from top to bottom.
• Apply a tint to side window.
• Use a hard card to make sure that tint is proper at all the corners.
• Remove the moisture between glass and window tint. Use a heater gun and squeeze in a horizontal movement.
• Trim the window tint film which is not required.

And you are done.
