Auto Tint regulation according to states. Auto tining reduces a Visible Light Transmittance(VLT). Driver must see outside during night times so there are certain laws in each state. You must follow these laws otherwise you may get tickets.

Tint Laws 2011. Inspection of Window Tint

I am trying to collect all the information of Tint Laws. The most important step in window tinting world is inspection of Window Tint.

Inspection of window tint.

Following things are taken into consideration while inspecting window tint. 

1. All official vehicle inspection stations that inspect passenger cars, trucks, truck tractors, and buses will inspect the sun screening using an approved metering device on all cars newer than1988.

2. They will inspect all front side windows to the immediate left and right of the driver.

3. They inspect glass coating or sun-screening devices on windshields and reject if: it is Red in color or amber or blue or it extends downward past the AS-1 line or more than five inches

4. This section does not apply to government stations or fleet stations which have provided the department annual written certification that the governmental entity or fleet station has no vehicles equipped with a sun screening device. 

5. This section is being implemented from 1994.
